Create People from Form Entries
We're excited to announce an update to Forms enabling churches to quickly create a person's profile based on the data received from a form.
Previously, if a form was filled out by someone not already in the database, the church would need to manually copy and paste information from that form (like email address, address, phone numbers, etc) into the person's profile in order to create it.
This update allows a church to, with the click of a few buttons, create a person's profile based on the information provided in a form. This works not only with standard fields like email address and street address but also with custom fields that churches add.
Here's a quick example showing how it works.
For more information, check out our documentation on creating people from forms. We hope this update will allow you to more quickly and accurately add new people into your database based on form entries.
(For now, this update is limited to passing form information over when creating a new profile. In the future we'd like to provide another update allowing form information to update an existing profile.)
Update 6/14/16: Updating existing people from forms is now possible as well. Take a look at our article titled Update Existing People from Form Entries for more details.
We'd love to show you what we built!
